Katie Gerrard, MSc, GMBPsS, Dip Hyp, GHR, CCTP, RYT, SMACCPH, CNHC

I’m an author, workshop facilitator, and graduate psychologist with a broad range of skills and interests.

I’m an experienced, qualified (Dip Hyp) and registered (GHR) Hypnotherapist working in an integrative way offering appointments online and in person in East Kent.

I have taken CPCAB counselling qualifications at L2 and L3 and am currently a trainee counsellor at L4. I’m also a registered yoga teacher.

I have additional training and experience in neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia) mental health, trauma, GSRD, and sex, attachment, and relationships.

I have over twenty years experience in paganism, witchcraft, seidr, and shamanic practises including facilitating rites, training individuals, and officiating life celebrations.

I have authored two books, “Seidr: The Gate is Open” and “Odin’s Gateways” published by Avalonia Books.

I was initiated into Wicca in 2000, elevated to 2nd and then 3rd degree and led my own group for a decade.

My own personal practise has evolved more towards norse flavoured witchcraft with a strong emphasis on ancestral work, the web of wyrd, personal development, and working with the subconscious.

I regularly teach courses within these areas.

Previous to my work as a Hypnotherapist I worked within coaching, community development, employability, and teaching adults and young people.

I have worked for recruitment businesses, charities, for a racial equality/ social justice community interest company, and within a South London college.

During the pandemic I volunteered for a mental health charity giving mental health advice over the telephone.

My work is always a blend of the knowledge and experience I’ve gained throughout my life. My esoteric practise has benefitted greatly from my new psychology training, and my therapeutic work benefits from both my career and my esoteric experience.

As a person with dyspraxia, I found yoga classes difficult. In 2022 I discovered I had a functional scoliosis caused by hypermobility and decided to study yoga intensively, which culminated in taking my Yoga Teacher qualification and now teaching Yoga.

I never thought I would even be able to hold a plank, let alone touch my toes, but yoga really is “for everyone”

I teach small groups, couples, and individuals in East Kent and online. I specialise in neurodivergence and bringing people from the very basics to strength, flexibility, and fitness.

Yoga is for everyone, but if like me you lack confidence, starting out with just a friend or two is a great way to begin your yoga journey.

You can find the full extensive list of my qualifications, training, and employment based skills and experience here.

Heid Mind is the combination of the different areas of my work and experience.
